How shutters work
Plantation shutters are panels of horizontal louvres fixed to the window. Tilting the louvres changes how much light comes in and how much can be seen from outside, and the panels can swing open when you want the full window.
They change how a home looks from the street as well as from inside, which is why the photos on this page include both views.
